Rancilio Group Head Screen Retaining Screw (M5 x 15mm)
The small slotted hex-head screw that clamps the group head screen against the dispersion block. It’s a low-cost part, but a stripped or missing one is a common reason a group screen won’t seat flat.

INSTALLATION
Simple hand-tool job, a small hex driver or flat screwdriver and a few minutes.
PRO TIPS
- Snug it down firmly but don’t crank on it, the screw threads into a relatively soft brass dispersion block, and over-tightening is the most common way to strip the hole.
- If the screen still won’t sit flat after replacing the screw, check the screen itself for warping before assuming the screw is at fault.
