Epoxy Encapsulated Barrel Solid-State Sensor
The Banner BPS1225 Sensor is a solid-state photoelectric sensor that provides reliable vehicle detection in car washes without requiring physical contact. This barrel-mounted sensor is 18 millimeters in diameter and covered in a protective layer of epoxy material. It uses an LED light sensing beam to detect movement as far as 20 meters.

Application Ideas:
- Exit Verification (In-Bay Automatic/Rollover): Verifies that vehicle has exited car wash. Signals dryers to turn off. Prompts entry doors to open and admit next vehicle.
- Teller/Coin Box and Menu Selection (In-Bay Automatic/Rollover): “Wakes up” teller. Doors open when correct code is entered, and previous vehicle has exited bay. Verifies that vehicle has departed coin box area.
- Undercarriage Wash Trigger (In-Bay Automatic/Rollover and Conveyor Tunnel): Detects presence of a vehicle while it is in the undercarriage wash zone. Signals the pumps to start/stop undercarriage wash.
- Anti-Collision (Conveyor Tunnel): Verifies that prior vehicle has exited car wash. Allows conveyor to “eject” car from system to exit the wash.
